// WORK EXPERIENCE
The Wing — Senior Software Engineer — Aug 2019-Present
Leadership: Planned and led several large-scale projects core to our business strategy, including a third-party chat migration, a job marketplace, and a groups product, the last of which was developed by a team of 7 engineers and was ready to ship a week before estimate. Mentored through pair programming, whiteboard sessions, and code review. Interviewed engineering and product design candidates as a critical part of the onsite interview experience.
Accessibility: Coordinated a cross-functional Accessibility Guild which shared knowledge and resources, and formulated processes to hold all teams accountable. Presented talks and authored blog posts to teach best practices. Carried out a site-wide audit, documenting violations of the WCAG 2.1 in anticipation for a digital membership launch, and enabling my team to bring our average Lighthouse accessibility score from 70 to 90.
Architecture: Integrated TypeScript into our React codebase, ensuring any new PRs would be free of type errors. Introduced reusable, composable, and accessible components outlined in our design system to our component library. Organized a Front End Guild for discussing codebase style, architectural decisions, and knowledge sharing.

Improved team’s average completion rate for sprints by 1.7x, from 78% of initial commitments to 139%.
